PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cation curing-type silicone-based resin composition high in both flexibility and adhesive properties. SOLUTION: The resin composition comprises (A), (B) and (C) wherein the component (A) is a cationically polymerizable silicone compound composed of a structural unit represented by the formula: (R<SP>1</SP>)<SB>m</SB>(R<SP>2</SP>)<SB>n</SB>SiO<SB>(4-m-n)/2</SB>; the component (B) is a cationic curing catalyst; and the component (C) is one or more kinds of adhesiveness-imparting agents selected from (1) a non-siloxane cation-curable compound, (2) a silicate compound represented by formula (II), (3) a silane coupling agent exemplified by formula (III): R<SP>7</SP><SB>a</SB>SiX<SB>4-a</SB>and (4) a metal fatty acid salt or a metal alcoholate.
