A remote supply choke (100) for coupling or decoupling electrical energy in broadband transmission system, consists of a current carrying main winding (105), an insulating tubular body (130) and a core (135) which is formed preferably from a ferromagnetic material. A sectioned material (140) is arranged between the windings (125) of the main coil (105). An Independent claim is also included for a coaxial broadband transmission system.
