<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a screw cap that makes a sound upon opening it, and a manufacturing method for the screw cap. <P>SOLUTION: A plate material is formed into the screw cap comprising a top board 2, a side wall 5 drooping from the circumferential edge of the top wall 2, and a screw part 102 formed on the side wall 5 to be screwed on a container 100, such as a bottle or the like. A bulged part 10 is formed in the center of the top board 2, and ridges 12 extending from the rim 3 of the cap 1 to the center are formed on the bulged part 10. A polygonal boundary 11 separating the bulged part 10 from the cap rim 3 is also formed.
