<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a non-contact IC card other than a contactless IC card of a customer utilizing a contactless IC card transaction device from being erroneously detected. <P>SOLUTION: When the customer utilizing the transaction device 21 brings a contactless IC card 40 into contact with an IC card contact detection part 31, a contact detection signal is outputted. The contact detection signal is sent to a control part 32. In a range of prescribed time (e.g. about 3sec) after outputting the contact detection signal, an IC card processing part 22 detects the approach of the contactless IC card 40 by a command from the control part 32 and outputs an approach detection signal. When the approach detection signal is outputted, the IC card processing part 22 reads out customer ID recorded in the contactless IC card 40 on the basis of a command from the control part 32 and sends the customer ID to the control part 32. The control part 32 discriminates whether the contactless IC card 40 can be used on the basis of the customer ID, and when the the card is usable, prescribed transaction operation is started. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
