<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rain sensor which uses a variable resistance device, having a resistance value variable according to the infrared-ray transmittance of a windshield. <P>SOLUTION: The rain sensor includes both a light-emitting part for emitting light and a light-receiving part for receiving light from the light-emitting part reflected by the windshield. The rain sensor is constituted, in such a way as to include both the variable resistance device constituted to form a resistance value on the output value of the rain sensor and a control unit for emitting the resistance value in the variable resistance device, according to the computed infrared-ray transmittance of the windshield. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
