PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To record various kinds of data corresponding to the position of recording onto a recording medium or the position of photographing image data, on the recording medium together with the image data. SOLUTION: In an image data recording apparatus 2A for recording image data which are photographed by a photographing means 1 onto a CD-R (CD readable) 4 as the recording medium, recording position data indicating the position of the image data recording apparatus 2A are acquired, material data corresponding to the recording position data are selected out of material data as various kinds of data stored in a storage means within the image data recording apparatus 2A, and the image data are recorded on the CD-R 4 together with the selected material data.
