PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluorescent lamp and its manufacturing method excellent in tractability and hard to damage a bridge and a bulb during handling without increasing cost. SOLUTION: At a boundary of an inter-bulb bridge 40 and straight tube portions 11, 21, a gap between outer periphery surfaces at lower-most portions in a z direction is set D1. In an upper portion in the z direction, a gap at a spot at which the straight tube portions 11, 21 are the closest to each other is set D2. When the gaps D1, D2 are set in that manner, in a fluorescent lamp 1 relative to a preferred embodiment, tubes 10, 20 are erected in a state that they are tilted in a y direction shown in a figure, so that D2/D1 is within a value range of 0.05 or more and 0.70 or less.
