PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately perform tracking of a work on a conveyor, where irregular movement is made and the work is taken out halfway. SOLUTION: In a method, work information or the absolute position information is stored in a continuous buffer 20 constantly toward the head of the line, and the absolute position information is updated along with the movement of the conveyor 1, thus securing the compatibility between the alignment order of works W on the conveyor 1 and the information in the buffer for tracking.
