PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tape printer capable of preventing deterioration of printing quality on a tape for a long time even when the printer is kept or used for a long time under the high temperature environment. SOLUTION: A projection 62 provided on an inner side face of a rear cover 3 enters an engagement hole 36 of a partitioning member 30 to be placed between a side face section of a platen holder 35 and a position fixing section 37. As a result, the platen holder 35 rotates in the side of a thermal head 33 and is fixed on a position where it is brought into contact with the inner side face of the projection 62 by an urging force of a torsion spring 45. Even when a thermal head attachment section 34 is bent inward by a pressing force of a platen roller 23, the abutment section 34A formed on the thermal head attachment section 34 at the upper end section is brought into contact with a restriction piece 61 to be supported and the displacement of the thermal head attachment section 34 inward is restricted.
