<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for preserving banana using a package having MA (modified atmosphere) effect, and enabling supply of banana having stable quality, elongation of its shelf life by preventing generation of sugar spots, and easy setting of conditions. <P>SOLUTION: In the banana package for after-ripening banana, the banana is preserved at a temperature T(°C) satisfying the equations: 14≤T≤25 and 4.1284×P<SP>0.8139</SP>≥T≥0.0028×P<SP>3</SP>-0.193×P<SP>2</SP>+4.8752×P-15.017, where P (cc/g/day/atm) is a permeation amount of oxygen in the package and T(°C) is a preservation temperature, wherein the oxygen concentration and the carbon dioxide concentration each in the package during preservation are respectively 2-15% and 5-25%. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
