<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for depolymerizing polyethylene terephthalate to be recycled (R-PET), by which the R-PET such as waste PET bottle flakes can efficiently be depolymerized at a low cost. <P>SOLUTION: This method for depolymerizing polyethylene terephthalate to be recycled, comprising heating, melting and depolymerizing the polyethylene terephthalate to be recycled, is characterized by heating, melting and depolymerizing the polyethylene terephthalate to be recycled with an extruder 1 and a reactor 7 connected to the exit of the extruder 1, and charging a glycol 14 behind the exit of the extruder 1 to mix the polyethylene terephthalate with the glycol in a mixer 6 disposed between the extruder 1 and the reactor 7. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
