<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bandwidth on demand service system capable of realizing a flexible service as a service of dynamically revising a bandwidth. <P>SOLUTION: A wavelength / MPLS edge switch 11 decides a destination on the basis of header information of a packet received from an enterprise network 201, provides an MPLS (multiprotocol label switching) header including a label being the destination information and transmits an MPLS packet to a wavelength / MPLS core switch 13 as a WDM (wavelength division multiplexing) signal. The wavelength / MPLS core switch 13 branches the WDM signal, extracts the MPLS packet in unit of wavelengths, switches the MPLS packet on the basis of the label included in the MPLS header, and transfers the MPLS packet to a wavelength / MPLS edge switch 12 as the WDM signal. The wavelength / MPLS edge switch 12 branches the WDM signal, extracts the MPLS packet in unit of wavelengths to delete the MPLS header and transfers the resulting packet to an enterprise network 203. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
