PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to confirm a recording program of a plurality of removable HDDs without setting to an STB (Set Top Box). SOLUTION: The removable HDD 25 can be connected to the STB 29 by exchanging it. The information of the program recorded on each removable HDD is stored in a nonvolatile memory 23. The recording area of the nonvolatile memory 23 is bisected to a control zone 41 and a program zone 44. The program to operate the STB 29 is stored in the program zone 44. In the control zone 41, the information for controlling the plurality of removable HDDs is stored, and ID areas 42x for storing the IDs intrinsically assigned for every removal HDD and program information areas 43x storing the program information for every ID are stored in pairs. The ID areas 42x and the program information areas 43x exist in the number of removable HDDs controlled by this STB 29.
