PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the selection of a recommended commodity in various ranks for a customer and a commodity. SOLUTION: This device comprises a database 1 for storing two or more pieces of customer information, two or more pieces of commodity information, and two or more customer's preference degrees for each piece of commodity information, an input part 7 for inputting predetermined category information, an overwriting part 10 for inputting two or more pieces of customer category information and two or more pieces of commodity category information which are classified to categories having the predetermined category information as a component, and overwriting them on the database 1, and a recommendation engine 4 for selecting customer category information and commodity category information corresponding to the predetermined category information inputted by the input part 7, and the corresponding preference degree.
