PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic timepiece with a rotating EL panel. SOLUTION: Torque is transmitted from a pointer driving device 51 to the EL panel 10 through a deceleration gear train 33 gearing with the driving device 51 and an EL panel rotating gear 31 fixed to the undersurface of the rotation center of the EL panel 10 and gearing with the gear train 33, so that the EL panel 10 is rotated. On the undersurface of the EL panel 10, circular strip type EL element terminals 11 and 12 are stuck. The other ends of EL conduction terminals 21 and 22 of a conductive plate spring member having one-side ends fixed to a housing 41 and electrically connected to EL lighting circuits 61 are brought into contact with the terminals 11 and 12 by spring force, respectively. Through the signal transmission path like that, a drive signal is imparted to the terminal 11 and the terminal 12 from the lighting circuits 61 to light the rotating EL panel 10.
