PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To regulate the displacement in the width direction of a step and reduce the size of the step width direction. SOLUTION: A step guide device comprises a drive roller shaft 8 fixed on the step 6, a drive roller 7a mounted rotatably in relation to the drive roller shaft 8, slide plates 15a, 15b which are mounted on both sides of the axial direction of the drive roller 7a respectively and have a diameter larger than that of the drive roller shaft, and a drive rail 11a on which the drive roller 8 rolls.
