The invention relates to a combination consisting of a plurality of heat and power coupling systems and/or heat, cold and power coupling systems for generating heat and electricity, whereby the thermal energy can be stored in storage units and the electricity can be supplied to a mains network. Said combination is characterised by elements for detecting the thermal absorption capacity remaining in the heat storage units, selection means for selecting those systems which have not yet reached their maximum thermal absorption capacity and which can still be used to generate electricity and activation means for activating the selected systems, depending on the electricity requirement.
