METHOD FOR PREVENTING IMPRESSION CYLINDER FROM BEING STAINED IN OFFSET PRINTING MACHINE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for preventing an impression cylinder from being stained in an offset printing machine capable of continuously preventing the impression cylinder from being stained by a simple operation.

SOLUTION: In the method for preventing the impression cylinder from being stained in the offset printing machine, the surface of the impression cylinder is coated with a solution of a hydroxyl group-containing hydrogenated petroleum resin dissolved in an organic solvent to make the surface hydrophilic on the surface of the impression cylinder against staining of the impression cylinder caused by transferring of remaining ink stuck on a blanket cylinder on the surface of the impression cylinder to prevent the remaining ink from being transferred on the impression cylinder.
