PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyolefin fine porous membrane which has membrane thickness uniformity, heat resistance, mechanical characteristics, permeability, dimensional stability, shut-down characteristics and melt-down characteristics in an excellent balance, to provide a method for producing the same, and to provide a use thereof. SOLUTION: This polyolefin fine porous membrane is characterized by comprising (a) polyolefin and (b) polypropylene having a weight-average mol. wt. of≥5×10<SP>5</SP>and a melting point of≥163°C measured with a scanning differential calorimeter at a temperature-rising rate of 3 to 20°C/min.
