PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wiper device which enhances the view field, prevents levitation at the time of high-speed running, reduces wind cutting sounds, enhances the wiping performance, and enhances the appearance. SOLUTION: The wiper device 11 has channel section with different sizes so that the inner part of a primary lever 14, a lever 34, and a yoke 22 can be accommodated in a retainer 28 of a wiper arm 13, the inner part of a secondary lever 15 can be accommodated in the outer part 68 of the primary lever 14, and that the yoke 22 can be accommodated in the secondary lever 15. The primary lever 14 is installed on the wiper arm 13 with the aid of a clip 21. This enables lessening the height H over the windshield, enhancing the view field, and preventing levitation at the time of high-speed running.
