PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a measuring method capable of rapidly measuring by setting, as one cycle, simultaneous measurement of weights of a plurality of articles, and automatic extraction of arbitrary ones of the articles of which the total weights is equal to a predetermined value, and by continuously repeating it. SOLUTION: In this automatic measuring method and device for articles, the articles are mounted on a first conveyer adjacently to one another; the articles on the first conveyer are respectively moved onto a plurality of meters on a measuring base in parallel with the first conveyer; the weights of the respective articles on the respective meters are measured; arbitrary ones of which the total weight is equal to a predetermined value are selected; the selected articles are moved onto a second conveyer from the meters; and the moved articles on the second conveyer are extracted.
