PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid phase carrier having a carboxyl group on its surface densely in order to efficiently fix a functional molecule. SOLUTION: A high-molecular substance having a carboxyl group is covalently bonded to the surface of the solid phase carrier having a functional group capable of being bonded to the carboxyl group by a covalent bond in the presence of a condensing agent under an acidic condition.
