PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic image album apparatus and an image searching method whereby a plurality of images received from an image input means are automatically laid out in an album form and a desired image can quickly be searched. SOLUTION: The electronic image album apparatus includes a means for creating an index image from original image data received from an original image input means; a means for automatically laying out the index image on a virtual album; and a searching means which is based on configurations of albums to search a desired album, a desired page in the album, and a desired image when a plurality of the albums exist.
