PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology whereby a communication means prepared by a user can easily search a wireless communication state communicable with the communication means, in the case the wireless communication capable of making the wireless communication with the opposite station is prepared within a specified area. SOLUTION: In the case that the communication means is prepared, the communication means can make wireless communication with first and second wireless communication systems. The first wireless communication system can transfer data through the wireless communication within a first wireless communication range 10 at a first transfer rate. The second wireless communication system can transfer data through the wireless communication within a second wireless communication area 20 wider than the first wireless communication area at a second transfer rate lower than the first transfer rate. The communication means transmits and receives prescribed packets through the wireless communication on the basis of the second wireless communication system to detect a communication station 1.
