PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat developing photosensitive material which has high sensitivity, high image quality and high stability of sensitivity, especially for the temperature at exposure time, while it is a photosensitive material using a silver halide which contains high-iodide silver, and an image forming method using the same. SOLUTION: A heat developing photosensitive material is provided with an image forming layer, including at least a photosensitive silver halide, a non-photosensitive organic silver salt, a reducing agent and a binder on a support body. Also, the photosensitive silver halide is a heat developing photosensitive material containing aγphase. The image forming method uses this heat developing photosensitive material.
