PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that facilitates separation of transfer paper from a fixing belt and performs a steady fixing operation. SOLUTION: The fixing device 5 includes: a fixing roller 10 which is heated by a heater 14; a heat roller 11 which is heated by a heater 16; and a fixing belt 12, serving as a fixing means, which is heated by the fixing roller 10 and the heat roller 11; and a pressure roller 13, serving as a fixing pressure means, which is in pressure contact with the fixing belt 12. Recording paper P conveyed holding a toner image in the form of an unfixed image is passed between the fixing belt 12 and the pressure roller 13, thereby fixing the toner image.
