PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To resolve problems in conventional function testers that it is costly and takes long time for delivery and cannot be reused because of special order goods. SOLUTION: To resolve the problems, (1) a simple language for inspection procedure preparation is provided, (2) a means for compiling the inspection procedure and a means for forwarding to a function tester 3 are provided, (3) a backup function of the inspection procedure is provided, (4) the function tester 3 itself is functioned apart from a personal computer after the inspection procedure forwarding, (5) a means for forwarding electric circuit function description data (circuit information on IC) is provided, and (6) a bus form for function extension is employed for the function tester 3. In this manner, functions of wide usability are added to both the software and the hardware of the function tester, usage of conventional function checker is widened, the cost is suppressed and it can be reused.
