PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic flow meter having a small and inexpensive damping mechanism. SOLUTION: In the ultrasonic flow meter, an inflow part 12 and an outflow part 13 of fluid are attached to both ends of a linear flow velocity measuring passage 11, an ultrasonic transducer 14 and 15 is attached facing each other to each of the inflow part and the outflow part, and a flow velocity of the fluid flowing through the flow velocity measuring passage 11 is measured from propagation duration of an ultrasonic wave propagating through an interior of the flow velocity measuring passage 11. It is provided with a damping mechanism 16 comprising a metal made cylindrical body coaxially extended in an outer side of the flow velocity measuring passage 11 and alternately formed with thick parts 16a and thin parts 16b.
