PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a magnetic head assembly and a magnetic disk device in which high speed drive of a slider can be performed and adhesive strength of a slider for a suspension is high, with respect to the magnetic head asembly and the magnetic disk device provided with a slider on which the magnetic head is mounted, the suspension, and a piezoelectric actuator. SOLUTION: A slider 12 is coupled to a suspension 15 through a coupling member 17 at a position on an axis S being vertical to its sliding plane 12a and passing through a centroid of the slider 12. Also, a plurality of piezoelectric elements 21, 22 for producing rotation driving force of a piezoelectric actuator 16 are arranged around the coupling member 17 between the slider 12 and the suspension 15 so that rotation driving force of the same direction is generated cooperatively at the time of shrinking, one end side in the direction of rotation of the slider 12 of each piezoelectric element 21, 22 is adhered to the slider 12, the other end side is adhered to the suspension 15.
