PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a recording/reproducing device and a recording/reproducing control method, of which the access executed at the retraction is normally executed some other time even when a magnetic head is urgently retracted for preventing a hard disk from damaging due to an impact. SOLUTION: When the acceleration is detected (37) in an HDD during the access to the disk, the head of the HDD is retracted (38-7). By receiving this retraction, the present transfer state is preserved (45-7) in an HDD transfer control part 140 of a file system to stand by until the acceleration is disappeared. When the acceleration is disappeared (43), the preserved transfer state is restored (46-7) by the file system, and the data transfer before the head retraction is executed again (37-7a).
