PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vertical and direct attached external wall construction structure and a starter metal fitting used therefor and an intermediate water drip excellent in load resistance efficiency to the weight of an external wall board and facilitating the positioning of a longitudinal position of the external wall board. SOLUTION: The vertical and direct attached external wall construction structure 1 is so constituted that the external wall board 2 is directly attached to a structural skeleton 10 with the longitudinal direction as the vertical direction. The starter metal fitting 3 bearing the external wall board 2 and a foundation water drip 4 discharging rain water are arranged to a foundation. The starter metal fitting 3 puts a substrate 31 upon a back board 41 of the foundation water drip 4, it is fixed to the structural skeleton 10 in a state of mounting a leg 35 on a horizontal stage 42, the lower end of the external wall board 2 is supported by a supporting plate 34, and an abutting plate 33 is abutted on the back side of the external wall board 2.
