The multiple sealing system (5) is for a movable window pane in a road vehicle. It has a flexible sealing lip (25) at a distance from a sealing band which may engage on a contact surface (26) the coachwork (10) when the door is closed. The seal enters a space (8) in the edge of the coachwork. The seal is formed as a modified U-section engaging the edge of the window pane.
