A scanning amplifier circuit has a direct amplifier circuit (310) for transmission of read-data loaded on to a bit-line pair comprising first and second bit lines (BL,BLB), to first and second data-input/data output lines (DIO,DIOB). An input/output gate circuit (320) transmits the read-data loaded on the bit-line-pair (BL,BLB) to the data input/data output line pair (DIO,DIOB) and for transmission of write-data to the bit-line pair (BL,BLB) as a reaction the write/read signal (RWS).
