PURPOSE: A dietary food supplement containing therapeutic amounts of denatonium benzoate as a bittering agent is provided. It permits a dieter to undergo a diet for reducing weight by the bitter taste of denatonium benzoate while preventing a nutritional imbalance. CONSTITUTION: A dietary food supplement for weight reduction is composed of: 5 to 20ppm denatonium benzoate; 1 to 20% by weight of DHA; 1 to 20% by weight of EPA; and 60 to 93% by weight of a mixture comprising one or more materials selected from the group consisting of carbohydrate, protein, fat, Na, Ca, beta-carotene, vitamin and folic acid. The denatonium benzoate contains liquid form, tablet form and powder form.
