PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus for displaying remaining amount of a rechargeable battery are provided to display correctly the remaining period of the battery by calculating the remaining amount of the battery on the basis of a difference between an input current value and an output current value. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for displaying remaining amount of a rechargeable battery includes a memory unit, a current measurement unit, a control unit, and a display unit. The memory unit(400) stores a current value of a battery. The current measurement unit(200) measures an input current value of the battery. The control unit(300) multiplies a measured value by a unit period to calculate the input current value corresponding to the unit period, updates the stored current value of the memory unit in the unit period, and calculates the remaining current amount of the battery on the basis of the difference between the input current and the output current. The display unit(500) displays the data related to the remaining current amount of the battery.
