PURPOSE: A shock absorber is provided to sufficiently perform a shock-absorbing function although shock is frequently given by quickly returning a piston rod of the shock absorber. CONSTITUTION: In a shock absorber, oil having a shock-absorbing effect moves to a front space and a rear space of a piston(56) through a bypass passage. A piston rod(51) has three-stage diameters. The piston is movably installed to a second diameter part of the piston rod. A gap(57) to make oil flow is formed between the second diameter part and the piston. A spring guide(54) with an oil outflow groove(55) is installed to a third diameter part of the piston rod. The spring guide receives resilience by a compression spring(52).
