<p>PURPOSE: A method for supporting mobility of a multimedia service and a recording medium storing its program are provided to guarantee quality of service and smoothly provide the service by preventing delay and disconnection. CONSTITUTION: Before handoff of an actual link layer starts, an address reservation procedure(T2) and a session update procedure(T4) are preferentially processed from a cell prediction threshold point through a handoff prediction. Thus, the address allocation procedure(T2) and the session update procedure(T4) are omitted after the handoff(Layer 2 handoff, L2HO) at the actual link layer occurs and only remaining procedures of T0,T1,T3 and T5 are processed, that is, an overall handoff delay time is reduced. After the handoff at the link layer is terminated, a mobile terminal checks whether there is an error in the address reservation procedure according to the handoff occurrence prediction by checking an address of a current access point. When the other terminal receives an ACK message with respect to the handoff occurrence prediction success from the mobile terminal, it terminates a session for a previous IP address(RTP session disconnect).</p> |
