PURPOSE: Functional processed meat products such as bacon containing a functional material are provided. It has good color, taste and flavor and improved palatability and is effective in improving human health. CONSTITUTION: To make the processed meat products, meat is treated with a functional material obtained by mixing nutraceuticals, fruits, cereals, vegetables, fruits, tourmarine, loess, charcoal and the like and then fermenting for 1 to 6 months at 15 to 45deg.C. The fruits are plums, ginger, grapes, bananas, pears, pineapples, jujubes, chestnuts, apples, melons, water melons, persimmons, apricots, peaches or the like. The nutraceuticals contain polysaccharides of ginseng and mushroom extract, minerals, fermented organic material of animals and plants, physiologically active materials of plants, animals, birds, bacteria and carbohydrates or the like. |
