PURPOSE: Structure for protecting a bearing of an automatic tool changing high-speed headstock is provided to prevent the damage on a bearing in automatic tool change by suppressing the movement of a shaft when the shaft is pushed toward a tool. CONSTITUTION: A pair of bearings(40,40a) are installed in a headstock. An outer wheel of the front bearing is constrained by an outer wheel constraint tool fixed in a headstock case(30). An inner wheel push suppressing gap(S1) is formed between a front wheel constraint tool and the outer wheel constraint tool. A vibroisolating cover(32) is installed outside the inner wheel push suppressing gap. A bearing assembling error correcting gap(S11) is formed between the headstock case and the vibroisolating cover.
