PURPOSE: A method for controlling an audio level of a multi-channel is provided to detect a current position of a user, and to automatically vary audio levels of multi channels reproduced through plural speakers, so that a user can listen to a more stereoscopic audio sound. CONSTITUTION: A microcomputer(203) retrieves/reads audio level control values relative to the first position, and controls an operation of a level controller(205). The level controller(205) variably adjusts a level of the first channel audio signal outputted to the first speaker(SP_FL) to a low level, and variably adjusts a level of the second channel audio signal outputted to the second speaker(SP_FR) to a high level. The level controller(205) variably adjusts a level of the third channel audio signal outputted to the third speaker(SP_C) to a middle level, variably adjusts a level of the fourth signal outputted to the fourth speaker(SP_W) to a middle level, variably adjusts a level of the fifth signal outputted to the fifth speaker(SP_RL) to a high level, and variably adjusts a level of the sixth signal outputted to the sixth speaker(SP_RR) to a high level.
