PURPOSE: A scattered reflection paint composition is provided, to reduce the three-step painting system for obtaining scattered reflection and colored appearance into the two-step painting system. CONSTITUTION: The scattered reflection paint composition comprises a thermosetting resin; a crosslinking agent; an organic solvent; a colored pigment; and 0.05-10 wt% of a hydrophilicity-treated metal powder showing a scattered reflection effect. The hydrophilicity-treated metal powder is obtained by hydrophilicity-treating an aluminium powder, a gold powder or a silver powder. Preferably the hydrophilicity-treated metal powder comprises 0.5-10 wt% of an amphiphilic resin or a dispersant containing a hydrophilic group and a hydrophobic group. |
