The toy has container base section (12) with electromagnetic coils (51, 52) disposed to engage a magnetic body (31). The coil is energized by passing current for causing the magnetic bodies and a figure object (2) e.g. doll to move against the buoyancy force of the object. The body and object are caused to return upwardly to their original positions by the force when the current via the coil is released.
