RESIZING SYSTEM FOR VIDEO CODEC

PURPOSE: A resizing system for a video codec is provided to reduce the complexity of a system, a processing time and degradation phenomenon by immediately performing resizing in a DCT(Discrete Cosine Transform) region. CONSTITUTION: If an original image(200) is inputted, a DCT unit(201) performs the DCT of the inputted image signal and inputs the transformed image signal(201a) to a quantization unit(202). The quantization unit(202) quantizes inputted DCT coefficients, and inputs the quantized image signal(202a) to a decimation unit(203). The decimation unit(203) reduces the size of the image signal, and inputs the reduced image signal to a rearranging unit(204). The rearranging unit(204) rearranges the DCT coefficients, and transmits the rearranged image signal(204a) through a transmission channel(205).
