WELDING GREEN LASER FOR HARMONIC SYSTEM USED FOR METAL AND ALLOY

PURPOSE: A harmonic laser system is provided to generate harmonics with long pulse width or a continuous wave output with at least one non-linear crystal and to extend an interaction with a workpiece by increasing the pulse width. CONSTITUTION: A harmonic laser system is composed of an oscillator cavity having a first tip mirror(60) and a harmonic separator mirror(70); an activating medium(30) positioned in the harmonic cavity; an electro-optic pumping device(20) for optically pumping the activating medium to generate a first optical beam as a basic wavelength; and a non-linear optical crystal(40) positioned in the oscillator cavity to generate a second optical beam as a harmonic wavelength of the first optical beam. The harmonic separator mirror outputs the second optical beam and reflects the first optical beam. The second optical beam welds a first workpiece(190) to a second workpiece.
