The system has optical fiber amplifier e.g. erbium doped fiber amplifier, to show flat output characteristic in response to a flat characteristic of a input power level versus wavelength. A coupler (28) couple a Raman amplifier (30) to the system. The amplifier (30) has a gain tilted in a direction opposite to a tilt of the amplifier, in response to a flat characteristic of another input power level versus wavelength. |
