The book block spine conveying device (1) carries the spines for book blocks facing downwards onto a heated drying sector (2) and a pressing sector (3). The book blocks are carried in sequence between the working ends (10, 11) of traction belts to be acted on by the drying and pressing sectors acting on their flanks.
