HOME NETWORK SYSTEM HAVING SECURITY FUNCTION

PURPOSE: A home network system having a security function is provided to maximize effect of firewall and intrusion detection at a home geteway/sever by providing a security function specialized for a home network when a device is changed or a new security module is upgraded. CONSTITUTION: A home gateway(310) includes a security engine(311) which checks information of digital devices connected inside a home network and updates by downloading a module for coping with a weak point for security of the digital devices or an attacking method and an optimized security module such as configuration by connecting to a remote security server(320). The remote security server(320) frequently updates information on securities of the various types of digital devices and stored it in a database, and downloads the updated security information upon receiving a request from the security engine(311). The security engine(311) executes a function of firewall and intrusion detection.
