PURPOSE: To prevent a lid from opening halfway due to reaction of a hinge. CONSTITUTION: A tape cassette housing case 1 comprises a case body 2 for receiving a tape cassette, a lid 6 connected to a rear end of the case body 2 via hinges 3, 5 for opening/closing an opening of the case body 2, and a main lock 8 connected to a front end of the case body 2 via a hinge 7 for locking the lid 6 in a closed state. The case body 2 and the lid 6 are equipped with positioning recess and protrusion 12 which are fitted to each other while the lid 6 is closed. A sub-lock 21 comprising a protrusion 22 and a protrusion fitting groove 23 which engage with each other to keep the lid 6 closed when the recess and the protrusion 11, 12 are fitted is provided on sides 11a, 11b, 12a (,12b) of the recess and the protrusion 11, 12. |
