A porous filter (70) allows external fluid to enter the ink cartridge (50) from a housing opening through a hollow tube comprising a sleeve (66) and a conduit (60), when the pressure difference between the ink cartridge and the external fluid is limited to constant range, so as to maintain the pressure of the ink cartridge within a specific range.
