PURPOSE: A system and a method for offering the character chatting service are provided to make users chat with each other interestingly by realizing the graphic chatting as allotting a predetermined word to a character. CONSTITUTION: Data transmitting/receiving controlling modules(310-310n) transmit/receive the exchanged data from each user terminal(300-300n) in real-time. Chatting screen managing modules(320-320n) display a sentence including the character replacing the predetermined word to a chatting screen window. Character selecting module(330-330n) manually/automatically select the character corresponding to the predetermined word. Text-character editing modules(340-340n) display the text and character inputted/edited through a keyboard or a mouse to a text-character editing window in a chatting window.
